Days 6–10: Introduce Tools

Days 6–10

Introduce Tools

Your pet is becoming familiar with touch and toothpaste. Now introduce the silicone finger brush as a gentle transition tool.

Day6

Introduce the Finger Brush

2 min

Place the silicone finger brush on your finger. Let your pet sniff and explore it. Do not attempt to brush yet.

The silicone finger brush is a training and transition tool — it is not bite protection.

Day7

Finger Brush on the Outer Teeth

2 min

With toothpaste on the finger brush, gently rub the outer surfaces of the front teeth for a few seconds. Reward immediately.

Day8

Extend to the Side Teeth

2 min

Extend the finger brush session to include the side teeth. Keep movements gentle and brief. Stop if your pet shows strong resistance.

Stop the session if your pet shows strong distress or attempts to bite.

Day9

Both Sides

2–3 min

Work gently on both sides of the mouth. Aim for the outer tooth surfaces and gumline. Keep each side brief.

Day10

Introduce the Toothbrush

2–3 min

Apply toothpaste to the toothbrush. Let your pet lick the bristles first. Then gently touch the outer front teeth with the brush for a few seconds.
